Experience Creativity with MTSU Art

In this workshop, 20 participants will be guided through drawing from live models. Starting with the fundamentals, participants will learn how to translate what their eyes see to what their hands put on paper. Concepts of composition, proportion, value, and color will be explored, and anatomy for artists will be discussed. Throughout 4 two hour Saturday sessions, participants will build on fundamentals and techniques, starting with short gestural sketches and moving into longer, more detailed renderings. This workshop features sessions with a clothed model and is available to community members of all ages and skill levels.

Participants must be at least 18 years old to sign up for the Classical workshop and are required to show state-issued I.D. before admittance.

Screen printing has long been a powerful tool for bringing people together, the medium thrives on accessibility and the act of making ideas visible in public spaces. This four-weekend intensive workshop invites 20 participants to dive deep into the full technical process of screen printing and wheat pasting.
